函館本線(長万部~札幌)
長万部駅からニセコの山々を越えて札幌へ向かう、通称「山線」。室蘭本線・千歳線経由の「海線」とは異なり定期優等列車・貨物列車は皆無だが、緊急時の迂回運転に備えて交換設備などが確保されている。
